1 1/2” fresh turmeric or 1 teaspoon of dried turmeric
1/2” fresh ginger or 1/2 teaspoon of dried ginger
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
1 cup of almond milk, coconut milk or full-fat canned coconut milk
1 teaspoon of ghee or coconut oil
1 teaspoon of manuka honey, local honey, maple syrup or stevia
Pinch of black pepper
Peel and finely grate the fresh ginger and turmeric.
Mix the ghee or coconut oil and fresh or dried ginger and turmeric in a small saucepan.
Add the almond or coconut milk to the pan and turn the stove to low or medium heat.
Stir frequently and cook until it starts to bubble. Remove from heat and add the honey.
